That Is Why 2C-B Is Also Called The Elite Substance

That is why 2C-B is also called the elite substance

People call 2C-B the “elite drug” because of its high price. It also has other names, such as Venus, Erox, Nexus, MFT, pink cocaine, to name a few.

The media talks about it as if it is a new substance. The truth is, it’s been around since 1974. A man named Alexander Shulgin created the formula in a California laboratory. Many people say it was invented in Germany, but it is not true.

2C-B is a synthetic substance. This means that you can make it or synthesize it in a laboratory with chemical substances. It distinguishes it from substances that are made from natural plants, such as marijuana and cocaine.

“Maybe if the literature was banned in the same way as cocaine, then people out of sheer curiosity would try to get a few strokes.”

-Alexander Jodorowsky-

2C-Bs history

2C-B became popular during the eighties, when many other substances also came to light. In 1985, the US government outlawed ecstasy. That made 2C-B even more popular. Finally, the US government also outlawed 2C-B in 1994. Little by little, the rest of the world outlawed it as well. Then the drug became known as “Nexus”.

In 2004, this illegal drug boomed again, this time in Latin America. It became very popular in Mexico and drug dealers began importing it to Colombia two years later. 2C-B (also called Tucibi in Spanish-speaking countries) entered the coffee country through Medellín. Then a man who everyone called “Alejo Tusibi” started making a local version of the drug.

The drug dealers in Medellín managed to throw “Alejo” out of town. He moved to California, where he was also expelled by the ruling mafia. He eventually ended up starting a store in Bogota. But the mafia kidnapped him and forced him to reveal his formula.

A famous mafia boss named Urdinola took over Alejo’s business. Later, Urdinola was extradited. Today, Colombia is the largest producer of 2C-B. They export it primarily to Europe, and the largest number of consumers are in Germany.

An amphetamine with psychedelic effects

2C-B (4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine) belongs to the amphetamine family. Amphetamines act as powerful stimulants on the central nervous system. Pushers usually sell them on the black market in the form of pills or capsules. But sometimes they sell them in powder form which the users inhale. This drug comes in different forms but usually you will find it as a pink pill. That is why so many people call it “pink cocaine”.

Users usually take the drug orally. It is thought to work by binding itself to the adrenaline, noradrenaline and dopamine receptors when it reaches the brain. 2C-B is also a psychedelic drug. Which means it changes perspective and cognitive processes that cause delusions and / or hallucinations.

2C-B is slower to act than other drugs like ecstasy. After ingestion, it may take 1 to 2 hours to reach the brain. It lasts between 4 to 8 hours. It all depends on each person’s unique structure, physiology and circumstance. Experts consider 10 milligrams as a low dose. A moderate dose is between 10 and 24 milligrams. A high dose is between 25 and 40 milligrams. Anything more than that, you will experience an overdose.

The effects of the drug

2C-B has physical and psychological side effects. Small doses cause sensory enhancement. This means that everything that the senses perceive is increased and sharpened. The following effects are seen with high doses:

But we know that consumption over time tends to create violent cases of anxiety, depression and insomnia. We do not know exactly how addictive it is.

Other facts about 2C-B

The effect of each dose depends on the type of person taking it. For some people, a dose of 15 milligrams has almost no effect. For other people, this is a high dose which may make them hallucinate. Between 14 and 24 mg, a difference of only 10 mg, can mean a significant increase in the effect of the drug.

2C-B in the form of pink powder

In Colombia, people call 2C-B “the drug for queens and models.” The weird nickname came out because the combination of 2C-B and ecstasy is a very powerful aphrodisiac. This is especially the case for women. Before it became illegal, psychiatrists actually used 2C-B in couples therapy. Experts said that if we are ever able to invent a completely effective aphrodisiac, then 2C-B will be the main ingredient.

Even though people called it the “elite drug”, the price itself does not belong with the nickname. Although it has a high price on the black market, it is not that different from cocaine. The effect of cocaine does not last that long, so users often have to take more of it. As a result, both drugs end up costing the same.
